River Highlands Ranch owner Jane Rivar recently met with well-known physician Dr. Oz (left) and others in New York at a press conference for HealthCorps, the non-profit organization founded by Dr. Oz. This coming April 13th, Jane will be joining Dr. Oz and others as a member of the Host Committee for a gala fundraiser at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York city.
As part of its interaction with HealthCorps, River Highlands Ranch recently hosted a pilot program entitled a “Get-A-Way”. This innovative seminar brought together fourteen high schoolers from the Sacramento, California area, allowing them to spend a weekend at the Ranch experiencing a journey of self-discovery and mental resilience. The weekend was facilitated by Jane and Living the Journey CEO Jerry Peterson using curriculum they had created and was termed as a “phenomenal experience” by the participants.
